In September last year, The world’s one of the most famous Battle royale titles , PUBG Mobile, was banned by the government of India , along with few other Chinese apps due to conflicts between China and India.
Nearly after 9 months , The South Korea based Gaming Company, Krafton has announced the return of it’s most popular game PUBG Mobile in India. This new version will come in a new branding called Battlegrounds Mobile India. However, Krafton has not revealed any particular date for the re launch of the mobile multiplayer game in the country.
“Battlegrounds Mobile India will release with exclusive in-game events like outfits and features and will have its own esports ecosystem with tournaments and leagues. The game will launch as a free-to-play experience on mobile devices,” Krafton said in a statement.
Before the ban, India accounted for over 175 million downloads , about a quarter of the global figure – according to SensorTower’s data.
Earlier in November, PUBG Corp said it would set up an Indian division and launch a new specific version of the game. The company, along with Krafton, invested $100 million Us Dollars to revive the business in its largest market in terms of number of audience.
