Clash of Clans is a free to play strategy based mobile video game developed and published by Finland based game developer Supercell. The game was released for iOS platforms on August 2, 2012, and on Google Play for Android on October 7, 2013.

The game is set in a fantasy-themed world where , The player is a chief of the village. Clash of Clans tasks players to build their own village using the resources they gained from attacking other players through the game’s war features, and producing them themselves. The main resources are gold, elixir and dark elixir. Players can join to create clans, groups of up to fifty people who can then participate in Clan Wars together, donate , receive troop. Players can also chat within their clan.

Although this year Supercell has announced that, the road to Clash Worlds will run through six-monthly seasons, each being split into three different main stages—Clan War Leagues, a Monthly Pre-Qualifier, and a Monthly Qualifier. There will also be a Last Chance Qualifier that will give teams one last opportunity to grab a “Golden Ticket” and secure a spot in the World Finals.

Skyesports Gaming Series:

Skyesports Gaming Series is set to feature a total prize pool of 4 Lakh INR. This tournament is held in partnership with Gogame.live and zoink.in. The qualifying round of this league started on the 2nd of April and will end within a month.

ESL INDIA PREMIERSHIP 2020 WINTER SEASON:

ESL India Premiership Winter Season featured some of the Clash of Clans team from India. The league had a total prize pool of 2lakh INR. This event was hosted in collaboration with Nodwin Gaming.
AKEF Vedikettu:
This event is hosted in partnership with Loco Live and AKEF with a total prize pool of 50,000 Rupees. The registration for this event closes later this week.

Call of Duty Mobile is a free-to-play, first person shooter video game developed by TiMi Studios and published by Activision . The game was Released for both Android and iOS on the 1st of October 2019. In a short span of time the game became one of the largest mobile game in history, generating over US$480 million with 270 million downloads within a year. The game was published in other regions by Garena, Tencent Games, and VNG Games.

The game set it’s foot in the esports scene by hosting The Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship 2020 Tournament was held in partnership between Activision Blizzard and Sony Mobile Communications. It featured more than $1 million in total prizes, which include both cash and in-game prizes. Competing teams were selected directly from the game’s community through four open online qualifiers from April 20 to May 24, 2020. . However, the use of desktop emulators and any external devices such as controllers and keyboards were prohibited.

Call Of Duty: Mobile India Cup is a Call Of Duty: Mobile Tournament organised by Activision in association with Loco as their official platform partner. Over 20 teams participated in this tournament for massive prize pool of ₹2,500,000 INR (≃ $34,445 USD).

The esports tournament will feature Solo as well as 5v5 team plays. The registrations started on April 1, 2021, at 10:55 PM. This tournament features a total prize pool of ₹25,00,000 ( $33,500 ).

Valorant Tournaments in India

Valorant is a free-to-play first person shooter game developed and published by Riot Games, for Microsoft Windows. It was first teased under the codename Project A in October 2019, then the game began a closed beta period with limited access on April 7, 2020, and it was officially released on June 2, 2020.
It is a multiplayer tactical and first-person shooter game set in the near future. In the main game mode, players are assigned to either the attacking or defending team with 5 players on each side.

Each player will have their own agent. Agents have unique abilities. Every player starts each round with a “classic” pistol and one or more “signature ability” charge. This esports tournament will be based on city vs city model, similar to the format of Valorant Sky Showdown and the first edition of Skyesports League 2020.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) is a multiplayer first-person shooter game developed by Valve and Hidden Path Entertainment. It is the fourth game in the Counter-Strike series. This Republic of Gamers Asia Pacific region based tournament is the very first online tournament in the region to feature Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) as the official game.
Over 80 teams will compete for a decent prize pool of $1500 USD. The tournament will begin on the 8th of April and conclude on 25th April 2021.

LOGITECH G ESPORTS LEAGUE:

Everything you need to know about Rocket League Sideswipe

Psyonix , the developer of the most popular racing-football themed game, Rocket league , has announced that they will be launching the mobile version of the game. The game is titled ‘Rocket League Sideswipe’ and is coming to Android and iOS devices for free later this year.

The developer has also announced that there will be some changes in the mobile version like 1v1 and 2v2 matches. The developer also shared some alpha gameplay footage giving an early look at the game.

The game is currently going through a limited-time regional alpha test on Android via Play Store for players in Australia and New Zealand region. You can access it with a Epic Games account to participate in the alpha test program. If you’re not seeing the Play Store listing despite living in Australia or New Zealand, that’s because the alpha program may have already hit user capacity. The company has also planned to conduct more beta programs in other regions over the upcoming months.

According to the specifications mentioned in Rocket League’s support page, you will need an Android device running 6.0 or newer with at least 2 GB of RAM to run Rocket League Sideswipe. The alpha testing program will start on March 25 and will last till March 30. Your account progress will be erased after the alpha test ends and you won’t be able to play that version of the game outside the test period.

Free Fire is a battle royale game, developed by 111 Dots Studio and published by Garena for Android and iOS. It became the most downloaded mobile game globally in 2019. Due to its popularity, the game received the award for the “Best Popular Vote Game” by the Google Play Store in 2019.

Game developer and publisher Garena has recently revealed the 2021 esports roadmap for its mobile battle royale title ‘Free Fire’. Free Fire is set to have a number of tournaments lined up this year.  They have also announced that the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) will be returning this year.

Free Fire World Series (FFWS) : According to Garena’s announcement, the Free Fire World Series is set to make it’s comeback. The world series will return with two editions. One in April and the other one in November. 
Free Fire World Series is the first International event of 2021’s Free Fire Season. 22 best teams from all around the world are invited throughout 14 regional series in the first half of 2021. The World series is set to have a massive prize pool of 2 Million US Dollars.

Free Fire World Series is set to kick off with the Play-ins on April 24th, with the competition’s Finals scheduld on May 1st. More details on the competition’s format and the participating regions is said to be revealed in the upcoming weeks.

Free Fire Continental Series:Free Fire Continental Series was used as an alternate to the Free Fire World Series due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. However, the competition is set to make  its return in April with teams 13 teams all across the world set to compete for Free Fire’s largest-ever prize pool of $2m (~£1.42m).

Free Fire All Stars: Garena has also announced the Free Fire All Stars along with the Free Fire World Series Event. In this event , some of the game’s most top influencers , content creators will battle against each other. This event is scheduled to take place in July. Garena’s 2021 esports roadmap for the India region will comprise 2  seasons, each   will consist of 2 major tournaments. Free Fire Pro League tournament followed by a Free Fire India Championship (FFIC) finale. Each Pro season will have a prize pool of more than Rs 1,00,00,000.

Free Fire Pro League: Each Competitive Season will begin with the Free Fire Pro League. Through this tournament , the top teams will be able to participate in Free Fire India Challenge.

The last season was won by Team Hyderabad, who were represented by the squad of Team Mahi, then known as VLT or Velocity Gaming. They dominated over the Grand Finals of the event against Team Rajasthan.

GameEon to host CS:GO and Valorant tournaments

GameEon, the popular game Game Development company has announced that they will venture into the esports world by launching GameEon esports on the 20th of March. They have also announced that they will be hosting esports tournaments for games like CS:GO and Valorant.

GameEon’s founder , Nikhil Malankar stated that this is the first time they are hosting an esports tournament. He added, “We have seen that the esports trend is catching up in the west as well with the prize pool worth millions of dollars. Because of that we have figured out that it is an esteemed opportunity, therefore we have aimed to host the tournament and simply build a community of gamers, we want to reach out to the target audience and gain an experience that promotes gaming in India.”

The tournament features a total prize pool of Rs 3.5 lakhs and the amount will be equally divided for two games Rs 1.75 lakhs respectively for both the games where Rs 1.25 lakhs will be paid as cash and goodies worth Rs 50k will be provided to the winners.

They have initially partnered with Noctua. Apart from that they have stated that they will be partnering with a few more brands for the tournament and can’t disclose their names since it is in the process. Viewers can catch the live stream of the tournament on GameEon’s official new channel – GameEon esports.

The tournament will follow 5V5 format. Players will have to participate in teams of five and the industry guidelines of the tournament will be followed by the rules. Players can register on their official website for free. Initially, they will start with CS: GO tournament from 20 March followed by the finals of the same which is set for 15 or 16 April and later on they will be announcing the date for the Valorant tournament and will commence the line-up for it.

Ubisoft Australia announces Rainbow Six Siege Oceanic Nationals Tournament

Ubisoft Australia has confirmed that Rainbow Six Siege Oceanic Nationals 2021 will kick off later this month. The Oceanic Nationals tournament will begin two days before the Rainbow Six Siege Oceanic Challenger League on the 21st of March.
“Both tournaments will feature eight teams per league playing across seven online playdays in a single round robin format BO1 series with overtime,” Ubisoft said. “A regular win will reward teams with three points, while the losing team receives zero points. In the case that a series goes to overtime, the winner is rewarded with two points, while the losing team receives one point.”
The teams participating in Oceanic Nationals Tournament are : Elevate, LFO, OkamiLFO, Pittsburgh Knights, Rhythm, Roflcopter, Team Bliss and Wildcard. A Massive prize pool of $100,000 Dollars will be offered throughout the season. Winners of each Stage for the season finals will be awarded a prize of $25,000 Dollars.

EWar Games Free Fire Premier League

EWar Games has announced that , they will be hosting its first Free Fire Premier League season in India. The tournament will be played in a staged manner, in which a large number of players from across six Indian states including Karnataka, Maharashtra, Delhi, Rajasthan, Telangana and West Bengal are taking part in. The tournament will follow a similar format to the popular sports series “IPL”. The tournament started on March 5 and will go on until March 15.
The first Free Fire Premier League season will be held for 15 days , from March 5 to March 15, 2021. The tournament is also offering prizes of up to Rs 1 lakh for the winning team, while first and second runner-up teams will be awarded Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000. There is also a prize for the best Underdog team , worth Rs 10,000.

A total of nine matches will be held on daily throughout the first season of the tournament, which will be followed by a league ranking system instead of a knockout system which is similar to that of IPL. The league will the progress into 45 qualifiers’ matches with 540 teams, 18 quarter-final matches with 90 teams, and 16 semi-final matches with 24 teams.
In the semi-finals , all of the six state owners will take part in a virtual auction for the 12 top ‘invited teams’. Here each owner will be purchasing two teams each. Team owners include Nimish Raut, Fnatic India Head, Rushindra Sinha, Founder of Global Esports and many more. The invited teams includes Total Gaming, TSG, Lokesh Gamer, Nonstop Gaming, Nayeem Aalam, Villian Gaming, Techno Banda, Enigma Gaming and Jigs Official. After the bidding, all of the invited teams will go up against the qualified underdog teams.
